Suzuki’s all-new GSX-R600 lands in UK dealers next week, fresh from its launch at the Almeria race circuit in Spain, where it was hailed as the new king of the Supersport class.
Redesigned from the ground-up, the new GSX-R600 boasts significant advantages over its predecessor and rivals, shedding an incredible 9kg compared to the 2010 model and offering the very latest race-track inspired technology, such as Showa Big Piston Forks, Brembo Monoblock brake callipers, a 15mm shorter wheelbase and a completely revised engine too.
In the recent Motorcycle News test, where the new GSX-R600 was pitched against all of its rivals and hailed as ‘the new king of supersports’, guest tester and 500 Grand Prix winner, Simon Crafar, said, "They’ve got everything really right, it performs well and handles well. It’s the whole package."
Performance Bikes Magazine tester Emma Franklin, said in their February 2011 issue, "The GSX-R600 is a gloriously well-balanced bike. It’s a bike that gave more pleasure than any road-bike I’ve ridden on track in the past three years."
The new GSX-R600 has a recommended retail price of £8,799 and will arrive in authorised Suzuki dealers from 5th February.
