Suzuki GB and authorised dealers Wyder Suzuki have announced their support for Biking for Barnardos – a round the world charity ride being undertaken by David Snelling and Kurtis Murphy next month.
Setting off from the Eric Morecambe statue in their home town of Morecambe in Lancashire on the 14th of June, the pair will cross no less than 16 countries on their Suzuki V-Strom 650X machines, as they bid to reach the east coast in Canada by the middle of November.
Taking over three years to plan, incredibly the pair hadn’t even taken their motorcycle tests when they hatched their round the world plan, eventually taking and passing their tests just over 12 months ago.
David Snelling, commented, "It is a dream for both of us to be able to attempt this trip, but we felt we really needed to raise the awarness of the Barnardo foundation at the same time. Growing up near to a local Barnardo’s store, our mothers have always donated our old clothes – even when we felt we weren’t ready to part with them – and this is a tradition we have kept up to this day."
The pair who have received support fro local Suzuki dealers, Wyder of Preston can be tracked on their trip by visiting www.bikingforbarnardos.com, where donations can also be made.
