Suzuki GB’s annual dealer conference took place in Edinburgh earlier this month to mark the start of a busy 2018, but there was still time for 2017 achievements to be recognised, with nine dealerships collecting awards on the night.
Hosted at the Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – the Caledonian, the conference saw four dealers collect awards for 50 years of service, with Anton Parris Motorcycles, Tillston Motorcycles, Fowlers of Bristol, and Robinsons Foundry all acknowledged, while Robinsons Foundry also received an award as aftersales dealer of the year.
Kings Two Wheel Centre picked up an award for 10 years’ service, with the Kidlington-based dealership also collecting the accolade of sales and marketing dealer of the year.
Customer experience dealer of the year went to Road and Racing Motorcycles, with Powerslide Motorcycles picking up two awards as GSX-R1000 dealer of the year and Suzuki Finance dealer of the year. Motoworks were handed the title of small bike dealer of the year, with Thunder Road Motorcycles recognised for its work as accessory dealer of the year.
After the conference dealers enjoyed a four-course dinner, which also included the addressing of the haggis beforehand. A traditional drums and pipes band then entertained guests before the awards ceremony.
Suzuki GB general manager, Paul de Lusignan, said, “The annual conference is always a great event; it’s a pleasure to spend time with our dealers and further exchange ideas and learn from their experiences over the last year. It’s also always a privilege to acknowledge and reward success in the network, and recognise an array of achievements and honour our long-standing dealerships. We looked back on 2017, but also turned our attention to making 2018 a productive and profitable year for us.”
