Suzuki GB has crowned the 2007 winners of the Guild of Technicians and Aftersales Advisors awards, with the two lucky winners scooping a brand new GSX-R750 each!
Run annually to find the best technician and aftersales advisors within the Suzuki dealer network, the final competition saw Stephen Hauxwell of Bill Smith Motors emerge as ‘2007 Technician of the Year’ and Sallyanne Blackwell of Wylie & Holland taking the ‘Aftersales Advisors’ award.
Following a final day of tough competition at Suzuki GB’s Milton Keynes headquarters, where contestants were observed in their respective disciplines, Stephen and Sallyanne were finally declared winners of the 2007 competition, beating colleagues from all over the UK.
Delighted with the level of expertise in this year’s competition, Suzuki GB’s Denis Houston commented, “Well done to both winners in this years contest. The level of competence never fails to impress, and it’s fair to say this years event was closer than ever, demonstrating the quality of staff within the Suzuki dealer network”.
Runners-up in the technician competition were David Collins of Robinsons Foundry in Canterbury, Dave Ball of Fowlers of Bristol, Marc Jarvis of Infinity Motorcycles in Farnborough and Steven Read of Isle of Wight Motorcycles.
In the Aftersales Advisors category Paul Morris at M&S Motorcycles in Newcastle, Dave Hammond of Peter Hammond Motorcycles, Alan Wilson of Cupar Motorcycles and Michael Robinson of Robinsons Foundry finished runner-ups.
All runners-up took away Virgin Exquisite Experience day vouchers and a wine advisor prize allowing them to choose a case of 12 based on their preference.
The 2008 competition will begin again in the new year.
