Suzuki GB PLC has become the first motorcycle manufacturer in the UK to offer its entire clothing and accessory range for online retail sale this month, taking the firms well-proven ‘Wish List’ system previously offered to customers a step further, with a full sales process handled completely online.

Working in association with its authorised dealer network, the new online process enables customers to select their chosen product and complete the order with secure payment, before the order is placed with the nearest participating dealer that holds stock.

Wayne Dye, Suzuki GB General Manager, Parts & Accessories Division, announced the new initiative, commenting, "Giving customers the opportunity to complete the sales process online has been our goal since we added the wish list functionality to our parts and accessory website a couple of years back. Importantly with this system we are able to keep our dealer network involved and drive traffic even when they are closed. With the system built to service orders geographically, this also ensures that territories are respected where stock is held."

In addition to this, Suzuki will soon add an ‘in-store pick-up’ option, where customers can select and pay for larger items and visit the nearest dealer for collection or to arrange fitment of products, such as luggage or technical items.
