For an impressive fifth year running, Suzuki GB PLC ended 2008 as the best performing motorcycle manufacturer in the largest segment of the UK market – the 126cc-and-above category.
With registrations totalling an impressive 14,250, Suzuki not only achieved the most registrations in the 126cc-and-above category, but also managed to top the respective sales charts on several occasions with the GSX-R1000 and DR-Z400SM during 2008 also.
Talking about the results was Suzuki GB General Manager, Paul de Lusignan, who commented, "Despite a tough market, we still managed to finish the year as leaders in the largest segment of the market yet again. Thanks to great products, some strong, value-busting offers and a proactive dealer network, we have managed to end five consecutive years in this position, which is an impressive feat. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our customers for their support, along with our dealer network for their strong service."
Suzuki will be looking to end 2009 in the same, market-leading position with two exciting new models heading to the range. The recently launched Gladius 650 will be arriving in Suzuki dealer showrooms later this month, while the stunning, all-new GSX-R1000 superbike is set to land in the UK in March.
