Friday 22nd September 2006 – Paris .
Suzuki unveiled a host of new models at their International press conference at the Paradis Latin in Paris last night – 21st September.
With the Worlds press waiting in anticipation, Suzuki treated guests to a gala show at the globally renowned venue shortly after unveiling the new B-King, GSX-R1000, new Bandit range and Burgman 125.
Already a legend even before its launch, Suzuki were pleased to unveil the production ready B-King. With looks almost identical to the highly acclaimed concept machine, the new B-King boasts an impressive specification, pushing the boundaries in true Suzuki fashion. Offering an impressive 1300cc engine the B-king will arrive in the UK in next year.
A master in its class, the current GSX-R1000 is a tough act to follow, but for 2007 offers more power, technology and agility than before. Following the same aerodynamic efficient styling found on the current GSX-R600 and 750 machines, the new 1000 boasts an impressive power increase with a new, unique race-bred rider power adjustment system too (3 stage power settings). The new GSX-R1000 is due to reach UK shores in February 2007.
An iconic range of machines for many years, the Bandit is reborn for 2007 with new liquid cooled, fuel injected engines across the entire line-up. Offering subtle update styling and major technical changes, the Bandit 1200 goes to 1250cc for 2007, offering improved dynamics throughout. With the 650’s capacity remaining the same, the all-new engine gives improved performance, with its adjustable seat, handlebars and controls designed to accommodate every rider.
In the learner legal category, Suzuki are pleased to announce the all-new Burgman 125. Completely restyled, the new model is stylish and practical. With sleek lines, an abundance of storage and its fuel injected single cylinder 4-stroke engine, the new model offers style and practicality without compromise. A 200 version is also available.
Further technical details of Suzuki’s 2007 model line-up will be available later today.
