The first in a series of feature videos has been uploaded to the new dedicated 2014 V-Strom 1000 website, following its launch last week.

The first interview is withTomohisa Ichimaru, Assistant Manager in the Motorcycle Product Planning department, and focuses on the new model’s research and development, and the concept to which the project team worked.

Ichimaru-san, who has worked in product planning with Suzuki since 2000, explains his previous experiences with the V-Strom series, including his work on the popular 650 model, what he wanted to see achieved with the new model, and how those ideas became firm plans.

Also on the site is the history of the iconic DR series, from which the new V-Strom 1000 took its design cues, the history of the V-Strom, and images and sketches of the current concept model.
